Palawan has about 1,770 islands yet one of the least developed holiday destinations in Southeast Asia (Philippines). Palawan is far from commercialism and a very elite island. But so far Palawan is making noise by the international Divers and its white long beach and Honda Beach is one of the famoust Beach Resort in the philippines. The ideal place for sun seekers and snorkellers is Honda Bay.
What to do in Honda Bay?
Expect that Honday Bay is an recognize as one of the top best diving spot in the world.Honda bay has several islets including Cannon Island, Bat Island and Starfish Island, with coral reefs breaking crystal clear water onto empty, fine white sand beaches. The best months to visit the place are from December to May.
Honda bay Location:
Honda bay is found in Sta. Lourdes Tagbanua, Puerto Princesa City. About 12 kilometers east of Puerto Princesa City.
You can hire pumpboat in sta.Lourdes Tagbanua for your island hopping and other palawan island tours.
How to go to sta. Lourdes warf, if you stay any beach resort in Honda bay and you are planning to hire a pumpboat and you don't know where is sta. lourdes warf you can take motorcycle or a jeep.
Where to stay in Honda Beach?
Looking for the cheap affordable beach resort in Honda Beach is really easy because I can recommend the Villa Leonora Beach Resort where we stayed for a week.
Villa Leonora Beach Resort
The resort is situated 60km north of Puerto Princesa City proper along the scenic national highway north side of Honda Bay and is central for most major tourist destinations. There are eight fully air conditioned rooms ensuite with hot water showers. Consisting of 2 floors, each floor with it's own balcony facing the sea. The upper 4 rooms also have an adjoining attic/loft which sleeps three comfortably. Besides the main A/C building there are triplex and duplex semi native buildings, 5 rooms total. These are fan rooms each room with own CR and cold showers all with balcony.
The frontage is beach and the backdrop is mountains.

Palawan is indeed one of the best places where one can enjoy the beauty of nature. what i also love about palawan is that there are a lot of puerto princesa hotels where one can stay at. :-) thanks for the great share.
