No Filter: My Personal Experience With Xpress Eats Davao

As an on-the-go person, I have always been on the lookout for food delivery services since it is not everytime that I get to cook my own meal. Although I have already tried numerous food outlets, only few have satisfactory delivery services. While some offer high-quality foods, sometimes the pace of delivery is just inconsistent. Who would want slow delivery? No one.

Meanwhile, many online food delivery services have emerged, but there's something that really caught my attention because of the numerous good reviews it received. I mean, reviews are just flooding the internet and every time I search for amenities in an online food outlet, clients' testimonials prove that its service is really impressive. Tired of all the inconsistencies and slow delivery I have experienced from my past food outlets, I am far from believing those seemingly overstated clients' testimonials and yet at the same time, I'm also desperate in finding a really helpful restaurant. Out of curiosity, I still tried out this food outlet they call Xpress Eats and tried my luck no matter how doubtful I am. Xpress Eats is basically an online Metropolitan Eatery serving home cooked Filipino dishes available for curbside, pick up, and delivery and since I don't wanna put in too much effort, I chose the delivery option.

And so here it goes. Starting with the food, in all fairness, I really have to say that all my expectations were turned upside down because there is a wide array of foods to choose from. Not to mention that it is affordable because they offer it both in Party trays and single meals. One by one, I have managed to taste all of their single meals, and I'm more than glad to say that all of it comes with veggies, which health-wise, is a total benefit. One meal is already composed of two viands which makes it so much more practical. Regarding the flavor, there's nothing more I can say than it being a haven of comfort, like you literally can just sink in the couch and indulge with it the whole day. My personal favorite is the burger steak because the cream is just so silky and the steak itself feels full-bodied inside your mouth.

On the other hand, talking about the delivery. I have to say that the inconvenience I have experienced before is now replaced with a very quick delivery right at my doorstep. I don't know with the other options because I haven't tried them yet, but judging from the delivery service they offered, surely other options are also as impressive.

All in all, Xpress Eats' food and delivery service combined is just outstanding that if you would ask me right now about the best of Davao online restaurants and delivery, I'd highly recommend Xpress Eats. What I once doubted is now my immediate answer to questions like "where to eat in Davao this 2020". This Davao Restaurant also comes with curbside delivery that makes it a total package. There's just no other like Xpress Eats.

Balik Bukid: Experience Organic Food

Balik Bukid Davao Organic
Sunday is the best day of the week to go out with and treat your family for dinner or Lunch. Agree? Yes for me! I usually go out with my family and spend some quality time with them before another working week strikes again.

Davao City has numerous restaurants but when it’s Sunday almost half of them is close and the other half is found in the crowded mall. Dining in a good restaurant at a Sunday is somehow difficult. But I’m very much thankful to my wife that she suggested to try checking Balik Bukid.

Balik Bukid is a restaurant that serve ORGANIC Foods. As an organic enthusiast - and because I always drink detox juice form detox station which started my love for anything organic- without a doubt I drove fast to its location in Quimpo Boulevard because it's almost 9:00 pm. Fortunately, the restaurant closes at 10:00pm so the kind waiters gladly asked for our last orders.

This is my first time to experience Balik Bukid and I was fascinated by the recycled materials they use from the wall of their resto to the interior design. Amazing concept that they have. The chairs and tables are recycled. One of the tables is actually a pile of tractor tires with a glass on top. The place is so organized and clean.

I also like their service. The waitress and the people of balik bukid always smile and handle their customer respectfully.

They serve the food 10 -15 minutes after you ordered and the taste is different from any commercial food chain or restaurant (of course). With some greens on the side, you can really say that the food looks and tastes so healthy.

My experience in Balik Bukid is really an organic food adventure. A new place with twists on their served food, Balik Bukid is really a place I want to explore more.

Sorry for the low quality photos.

K Steaks Unlimited Buffet

K steak Unlimited Buffet
K Steaks Unlimited Buffet is one of the most talked about buffet places in Davao City this year. I’ve been hearing it from friends, officemates and have also read shout outs from Facebook and Twitter about it.
Since K Steaks is just in the same area where I always hangout with my girlfriend (plus it’s our monthsary date), we decided to experience the first unlimited steak resto in Davao City.
As we arrived, I noticed that the place is pretty nice. It’s a good place for dates because we were only a few customers that time. The warm lighting of the resto makes it a little more romantic –just right for our night together.
I like their staff. They always treat and serve you with a smile. They only have few waiters but their service is pretty good. They are organized.

Going back to the most important, the food presentation of the other viands was neat. They also have a clean grilling area which offers 3 kinds of steak: Beef, Fish and Pork. I like the idea that the customers could see the grilling of the steaks. It makes you realize their cleanliness and assurance for quality. Plus they have the quickest food refilling service. The steaks tasted and are cooked well. You could try their 4 sauces which include sour cream, beef, sweet, and the spicy one. On top of their steaks, there were also spaghetti, fresh lumpia, and chicken adobo among others.
All of those only cost you Php 170.00 –that is an eat-all-you-can offer!
If you want to experience the delicious food of K Steak Unlimited, they are located at Loreto Corner Macopa Sts., Juna Subd. Matina, Davao City. They serve buffet lunch (11 AM to 2 PM) and dinner (5 PM to 10 PM). You may do reservations at (082) 303-3694.

The Peak Gmall: Zabadani + Movie

We headed to The Peak in GMall for two purposes: first is to watch Batman Dark Knight Rises; and second is to dine in our favorite restaurant, Zabadani Café.
The Peak is a perfect place if you are looking for a resto because they have around 12 restaurants plus 5 soon-to-open stalls. The place also gives a beautiful overlooking view of the city. The colorful water garden, which looks like a block of small pools, is a breath of fresh air. It makes The Peak a cooler place to hang out with your family or friends because of its location and stunning view.
While waiting for our movie schedule, we went to Zabadani Café to eat our favorite Zabadani rice special. This time we tried the Sagheer, rice meal good for two. We had the Shrimp Kabsa in Sagheer size.  Zabadani never disappoint us. It was good, as usual.
Zabadani Café was my featured blog article last month. Because of that blog post, Waddi, the manager offered me a Green Card. This is the second level of their Loyalty Cards – next to the Yellow Card. My goal now is to dine and dine to finally get the ultimate Gold Card – more discounts and free items.  Anyway, with or without a Loyalty Card, Zabadani is really worth coming back.
Our stomachs had enough so we ended the day with the Batman movie for a more stress-relieving experience. I like Gmall’s theater because it is new and their seat is really comfortable.
Another Zabadani experience PLUS watching a movie with your special someone feels like you’re in a vacation –just simply happy.
